Jack Opatrny is an award-winning Houston photographer whose diverse experience spans more than 16 years. His exceptional work includes architecture, commercial, food, portraits, and fashion photography. Jack prides himself on capturing the best in his subjects which ensures his work always exceeds his clients' expectations.
Originally from Ohio, Jack relocated to Houston in 1990 and quickly established himself as a distinguished fashion and business photographer on both local and national levels. Among his achievements are top honors at the Art Directors Club of Houston's Annual Show and many other industry publications. His talent is also well recognized by his many contributions to projects in fashion, high-end portraits, renowned commercial products, architecture and humanitarian causes.
Jack, also a very talented musician, is extremely passionate about life and his work. His personal interests include charitable causes that range from animal rescue, environmental protection and breast cancer awareness.
His heartfelt love for dogs inspired his very recent photography project, “Street Dogs of Mexico.” This outstanding collection of black-and-white portraits spotlights the massive problem of homeless dogs. The work totally captures their raw emotions and survival instincts as they struggle to survive in the cities of Mexico. And all proceeds benefit local animal rescue and adoption operations.
